Hope for M.E. Vision

THE VISION

Hope for M.E. is a Christian charity based upon strong biblical beliefs and the Christian faith. However, with a heart of love and compassion, as taught by Jesus Christ, we gladly reach out to help and support all of those suffering from M.E. and M.E. related illnesses regardless of their faith.

We have been given two pictures from God that underpin our vision for Hope for M.E.

The first is of people holding hands across Britain.

The other is of the cross superimposed on a map linking North, South, East and West with the cross bar centred in the Midlands.

Our aim is to reach out to other areas of the country, to provide a network, to connect people together in friendship, to break down isolation and to facilitate access to information and resources, as well as to each other.

The bible verse that appears at the bottom of all the pages on this site, from Isaiah 40:31, is the core scripture at the heart of Hope for M.E. However, several individuals have been given words of scripture which we believe are also relevant to the group as a whole.

These are:

Isaiah 41:13

For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

Deuteronomy 31:8

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

Ecclesiastes 4:9, 10a, 12b

(Verse 9) Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work.
(10a) If one falls down, his friend can help him up.
(12b) A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Isaiah 40 v28-31

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no-one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
